The late John I. Ingle, DDS, was a pioneer in the field of endodontics and served as an educator and mentor to generations of endodontists. During a career that began in 1942, he was an international lecturer, professor and department chair of periodontics and endodontics at the University of Washington, Dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, and he also served the Institute of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He was president of Palm Springs Seminars, a leading institution of dental continuing education. Dr. Ingle was also a past President of the American Association of Endodontists, and the AAE awarded him the Ralph F. Sommer Award and the Edgar D. Coolidge Award. In 2001 he was inducted into the USC School of Dentistry Hall of Fame.
Ilan Rotstein, DDS, is Associate Dean of Continuing Education at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California where he also serves as Chair of the Division of Endodontics, Orthodontics and General Practice Residency.
