PMDC to waive off the decision of Assessment/Exit for House Jobbers

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) Management Committee has decided to waive off the decision of Assessment/Exit Exam after one year house job. The decision was taken as the exit examination system was started few months ago by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) , requiring every medical student -to take an exam following the completion of a house job.

Chairman Management Committee Maj. Gen. (R) Dr. Azhar Mehmood Kayani said that the decision is taken in the best interest, as the decision of clearing Exit/Assessment examination had caused apprehension among medicaljdental students as they fear being unable to practice after the completion of their house job. Chairman said, instead of examining medical dental students after having qualified through all the necessary examinations earlier, the Committee has decided to inspect the hospitals to monitor the training facilities of house job.
