The rule of CME/CDE is very new in Pakistan, but it is not new in western countries. This system is present in Western Countries for many years for Re-Certification. CME/CDE will be applicable in Pakistan from January 2015. “But according to some fellows who visited PM&DC, they have told that CME hours for the year of 2015 is not needed, but from 2016 and onward every one has to submit CME credit hours”. So every Doctor/Dentist whose registration will expire after 2015 will have to submit application along with affidavit and CME/CDE Credit Hours. In affidavit you have to mention that from now onward you will submit Credit Hours of every Year in order to get Certificate to Practice. But after 2015 every one has to submit CME/CDE Credit hours.
