Individuals with BMI values of 30 or above are considered “obese.” A BMI of 25 to 29.9 lands someone in the “overweight” category. People with a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 are classified as “normal weight,” while those with a score of 18.4 or less are considered “underweight.” The global weight loss/obesity Research market was worth $265 billion in the year 2012 and is expected to reach $361 billion by 2017.
